Mohamed Al-Hajira, regional secretary-general of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in the Fez-Meknes region, criticized the neglect of COVID-19 patients in the region’s hospitals across the board, attributing the current state of the health system to the complete absence of the regional health director.
Al-Hajira said, “After contracting the coronavirus, I experienced complete indifference from the public health sector; they offered me virtually nothing, and I will not remain silent about the scandalous way they are treating Moroccans infected with the virus.”
Al-Hajira added that he had documented all the blunders, fatal mistakes, and disregard for the lives of innocent people, noting that the sector is in a state of complete paralysis under the leadership of a regional director who lacks any sense of direction in management and administration, in addition to the patronage and favoritism in dealing with citizens and certain politicians who orbit the Ministry of Health in the Fez-Meknes region.
