Mohamed Boukhali, president of the municipal council of Oued Safa in the province of Ait Baha, confirmed that work on the electricity extension project in the village of Ait Oukmar, which is part of the municipality, was relaunched last Tuesday. The event was attended by a representative from the National Electricity Office in Bouker, elected officials, and representatives of civil society organizations.
Boukhali added that an official from the National Electricity Office had indicated during the February session of the Safa Municipal Council, in response to a question from the Oued Safa Municipal Council, that the work would proceed in two phases, noting that the first phase had already begun and concerned the villages of Ait and Kammar, while the second phase—which would cover the remaining villages of Safa—was yet to be awarded.
