Aziz Lamine, First Deputy Chair of the Rabat Municipal Council and head of the sanitation sector, chaired a technical meeting with the Sanitation Inspection Department at the municipality’s headquarters, attended by all inspectors and administrative staff, as well as the department’s general manager.
Mr. Lemini opened the meeting by expressing his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the department to improve the sanitation services provided to citizens. He shared specific observations he had gathered during field visits to the five districts under the Municipal Council, which he conducted shortly after being assigned to the sector and at various times, as part of the monitoring of services provided by the companies “Arma-Environnement” and “SOS Rabat” in managing the sanitation sector.
The deputy in charge of managing the sanitation sector summarized these observations by noting the need to develop the monitoring system to keep pace with the major construction projects underway in the capital, emphasizing the importance of urging the two companies entrusted with managing this sector to accelerate their efforts in line with the transformative changes taking place in the city of Rabat.
In this context, Mr. Lemini emphasized the importance of implementing proactive monitoring measures to keep pace with this major transformation, in order to ensure the continued high quality of sanitation services, while ensuring that the needs of citizens are met in a manner befitting the status of the Moroccan capital.
