On Monday, February 28, 2022, the Marrakech-Safi Regional Chamber of Traditional Industry, chaired by Hassan Chamis, held its regular February 2022 meeting.
The Chamber discussed an agenda that included a number of important items, most notably the presentation of the Chamber’s report on its activities between sessions, the unanimous approval of a draft partnership and cooperation agreement aimed at implementing joint programs to support and assist stakeholders in the traditional industry sector, as well as the approval of the Chamber’s draft work program, and finally, the review of the administrative accounts for the year 2022.
The session was attended by the Regional Director of Traditional Crafts in Marrakech, the Regional Director of Traditional Crafts in Safi, the Provincial Director of Traditional Crafts in Kalaat Sraghna, members of the Chamber’s Executive Board, the Regional Director of Traditional Industry in Essaouira, representatives of local authorities, a number of representatives from the artisanal civil society sector, and a number of male and female artisans.
