Last weekend, at the headquarters of the Regional Council of Berkane, a ceremony was held to hand over duties to the president-elect of the current term, Mr. Mohamed Jaloul.
The handover ceremony, which the former president of the council did not attend, took place in the presence of the regional governor’s representative and a committee chaired by the head of departments at the regional council, and proceeded in an atmosphere in which everyone demonstrated a sense of responsibility toward the region’s development.
It should be noted that the current president of the Berkane Regional Council was elected after receiving 148 out of 260 votes, thereby defeating his rivals.
