The Tamrourt-Tafraouten mine was discussed at a meeting in Rabat between Talbi, Hatmi, and officials from the Ministry of Energy Transition

In an effort to find an urgent solution to the health hazards resulting from mining operations at the Tamrout mine in the commune of Tafraout, Taroudant Province, Ms. Nadia Talbi, head of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) group in the Souss-Massa region, accompanied by Mr. Khalid Hatmi, Member of Parliament for the Southern Taroudant constituency, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development in Rabat this morning.

A meeting was held with the Director of Programs and Projects in the Environment and Sustainable Development and the Minister’s Office to discuss and find a solution to the problem of the Tamrout mine in the Tafraouten commune and its negative environmental impacts, as well as its accompanying impacts on the environment and water resources, and its impact on the paved road connecting the villages of the Tafraouten commune with those of the Tamloukt commune.
