Wahbi: The Authenticity and Modernity Party will have a strong presence in the next government, and our candidates possess all the competence and experience needed to ensure the success of democracy in our country

Speaking with confidence and certainty, the Secretary-General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, Mr. Abdellatif Wahbi, stated that the party did not choose “the opposition,” but rather that the latter had been imposed on it due to political calculations that were at times “misguided.” He noted that the party had been dragged into battles for which it was not originally responsible (the conflict with the Justice and Development Party being a case in point), and that this had gone so far as to use it to help other parties secure positions within the government.

In this context, the Secretary-General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, during his appearance as a guest on Wednesday evening, May 19, on the program “Meeting with the Press” (National Radio), that his primary desire is to open a dialogue with all parties, while expressing surprise at the Secretary-General of the National Rally of Independents’ (RNI) view of political affairs and his insistence on adopting behaviors and actions that harm the Authenticity and Modernity Party.

“That is why the PAM is currently positioned in the center,” explains Wahbi, “and I have no doubt it will be part of the next government.” Our primary concern today is the success of the democratic process in our country and the preservation of political pluralism.

Regarding the elections, the Secretary-General said that the Authenticity and Modernity Party has made significant progress, and now has competent and experienced candidates, including 80 percent of the current members of parliament. We will also present, on the regional list, female candidates with a high level of academic and intellectual competence, which are essential requirements for us within the party, Wahbi concluded.
