PAM Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, stated that Khouribga features a series of mines, however, the city’s population enjoys none of the latters’ revenues.
“PAM has previously submitted a draft law on the equal distribution of revenues among cities that contain phosphate mines, nevertheless, Morocco’s government and majority rejected the party’s proposition in this regard”, Ouahbi stressed.
Ouahbi also declared that Khouribga’s youth shall not be destined to work in mines only, but in industrial institutions and companies as well, calling on the city’s population to urge the government into launching new economic projects for the region to enjoy other relevant sectors.
Meanwhile, PAM’s chief recalled the importance of education and academic training, calling on Khouribga’s citizens to invest heavily in teaching the younger generations, for illiteracy is no longer accepted within today’s society.
Upon his visit to Khouribga, Ouahbi presented PAM’s candidacy list for the legislative, communal and parliamentary elections, in addition to the party’s women list deputy within Beni Mellal-Khenifra regional district.
