Press release – PAM Politburo meeting
PAM Politburo held its ordinary meeting last Monday February 19, 2024 in Rabat under the party’s SG collegial leadership and with the attendance of Politburo members to debate a number of new developments in the national political scene and the party’s internal organizational matters.
At the beginning of the meeting, the coordinator of PAM Secretariat General collegial leadership, Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri has praised the positive atmosphere during which the fifth national convention has occurred, reminding the congratulations message sent by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the collegial leadership coordinator and through her to all the party’s militants, in which His Majesty has congratulated the successful convention works and its result aimed at establishing good governance and therefore allowing political parties to play their constitutional roles in reinvigorated manner to contribute to the establishment of national democratic development project.
The Politburo has highly appreciated the important results achieved by Moroccan diplomacy under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s leadership at the 37th African Union summit that has been characterized by the presentation of Morocco the report about activities of the African Union council for peace and security chaired by the Moroccan Kingdom; the fact which reflects another time Morocco’s presence and commitment under His Majesty to carry out its mission with and for Africa.
The Politburo has reiterated Morocco’s firm and clear-cut position, under His Majesty leadership, to support and defend the Palestinian cause, since the Moroccan Kingdom under His Majesty President of Al Quds Committee, remains adhered to a peaceful settlement based on a two-state solution to establish a fair permanent peace in the Middle East, with the necessity to halt escalation and military aggressions to reach a ceasefire and ensure the protection of civilians, in accordance with the human international law.
Regarding employment issue and due to the party’s full integration in major social projects in our country, PAM Politburo has reaffirmed that employment remains at the top of Moroccans’ expectations.
The party will pursue its action from its position inside the government majority to find efficient, innovated and realistic solutions to handle this issue.
While the Politburo has registered the positive outcome of salary jobs opportunities, which has witnessed an unprecedented growth in 2023 by the creation of 588 thousand jobs in comparison with only 130 thousands over the last few years, the party will be mobilized to handle the issue of unemployment.
On the other hand, the Secretariat General collegial leadership has presented the outcome of the PAM fifth national convention, which has been considered by all standards, as very successful; coming up with a new formula of party governance as an exceptional model inside national political life.
The collegial leadership has appreciated former Secretary General Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi for all his job done to reinforce and maintain the party’s influence.
The party Politburo has assigned its member Mrs. QulubFaytah of coordinating the committee actions in charge of holding internal consultative meetings to prepare a project for a political roadmap charter on ethics.
On the margin of this meeting, a ceremony of power handover was celebrated between former SG Mr. AbdellatifOuahbi and the coordinator of the party SG collegial leadership, Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri, in the presence of two members of the collegial leadership, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid and Mr. Salah Eddine Abou Ghali.
