PAM Politburo meeting PAM leadership expresses its opinion towards the Russian – Ukrainian war, discusses Moroccan women condition, prices increase and appreciates organizational dynamism
The PAM Politburo has praised the Moroccan Kingdom’s position towards the Russia – Ukrainian war, the efforts and preemptive steps made by the government prior to the outbreak of the war.
In its communiqué issued in the aftermath of its attendance meeting chaired by Secretary General of the party, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, last Thursday March 10, 2022 in Rabat, the PAM Politburo has appreciated the moves and personal intervention of several Moroccan Ambassadors to intensify the number of flights, with reduced tickets prices and with the mobilization of the Moroccan Kingdom in Kyiv and other Moroccan embassies in neighboring countries to Ukraine, which have resulted in the return of an important number of Moroccan citizens in normal conditions despite big challenges due to dangerous events.
In this context, the PAM Politburo has called on the government for the necessity to think seriously about finding out appropriate solutions in relation with repatriated Moroccan students to continue their academic studies.
The communiqué has confirmed that Politburo members have discussed the repercussions of this war on the Moroccan Kingdom, particularly in what concerns difficulties faced by Moroccan citizens to leave the war zone and also dramatic increases of some basic foodstuff especially energy.
The communiqué has informed that, on the occasion of our country’s commemorating last Tuesday the international women’s day, the Politburo has recalled the evolution progress being witnessed by Moroccan women over the last two decades, as a strategic major project led with great determination by His Majesty King Mohammed VI; the fact which has allowed Moroccan women to fully play their role inside the Moroccan society and therefore contribute to its progress in many fields: Political, economic and social.
The Politburo considers that it’s an occasion to discuss some structural and cultural problems and hardships that impede more achievements for women’s equal opportunities and especially improve women conditions in rural areas and thus resolve some social distortions related to family violence and under-age marriages.
In addition, the Politburo has discussed disturbing situation as a result of the increase of some basic consumptive foodstuff, praising at the same time the government’s preemptive measures to subsidy those basic foodstuff in national markets, the fact which has permitted a certain stability of prices despite external challenges related to fluctuations of prices increase in global markets.
The PAM leadership has called on this occasion the government for more awareness and mobilization and for its firm intervention and strong control to maintain the level of prices and stand up against any monopoly by some mediators to affect prices of some foodstuff.
The communiqué has also discussed the latest developments of the Corona pandemic and its impact on our country, and has recorded with satisfaction the regression in the cases rate, reiterating its gratitude for the strong mobilization undertaken by the government, various institutions and officials in our country since the spread of the virus.
In this regard, the communiqué added while the Politburo has urged all citizens women and men to continue to take their jabs and to be committed to all health and sanitary measures, it has called on the government to discuss and establish more measures to alleviate restrictions of entry to national territory; with the goal of facilitating visits by the Moroccan communities abroad to their mother country and also to encourage the recovery of our country’s tourism sector activity, particularly in the light of signs and expectations of the regression of agricultural sector as a result of lack of rain for this year.
Regarding the party’s side, the Politburo has listened to new reports prepared by organizational poles which have been previously elected (the media and communication pole, the administration and digitalization pole, the pole to follow up parliamentary action and elected body, the external relations pole, and the financial management pole), praising highly the official startup of many local and national conventions of the party y held in very convenient conditions which signal the construction of a strong party organization for the future.
The Politburo has finally praised the strong dynamism reflected in the series of regional meetings prepared by the preparatory committee to restructure the PAM women organization with more independence and strength at the level of several regions namely in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, Marrakech-Safi, Deraa-Taflialet, Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima along with other provinces of the Kingdom, susceptible to build a strong and independent PAM women organization.
