Minister of Justice: The first months of the government majority’s job was an opportunity to open a number of major projects and start up reforms in many sectors.. The opposition should empower itself since its role is important to accomplish our country’s democratic successful experience
About the government outcome over the first months of its appointment to manage national public matters, Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi said “this government is working hard regarding its handling of the current crisis as several hardships have affected by different ways the lives of Moroccan citizens; while on the other side, a number of major projects (bills and decrees) were initiated to proceed with reforms in different sectors and open many files to work on them right now and in the foreseeable future” (Justice sector as an example).
Minister of Justice added, during his invitation to Al Aoula TV program “Nokta Ila Satr” broadcast on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, that the government, despite what may be said about lack and absence of communication, works hard and takes decisions that have not been well marketed in terms of communication and in general, the first months of this government mandate was an opportunity to organize our agenda for a post electoral period”; there are also some sectors where technical aspect is more important, the fact which requires longer time and this undermines communication in the expected form.
Minister of Justice has also talked about big harmony and cohesion among the government coalition components which includes a three-partite coalition, considered as a leading experience reflecting democratic culture in our country, and also harmony in both action and performance. Mr. Ouahbi considered that relationship between the remaining of political parties in the opposition is at an excellent level and political disagreement does not harm cordiality that should prevail.
Mr. Ouahbi said that the role of the majority is to empower the opposition and contributes thus to strengthen parties which in turn strengthen the state; there is no strong state in the absence of parties, and what is requested is to give political parties a greater and larger role in our country which regroup on the constants and differ on other matters and this is normal and natural in making successful any democratic experience.
