Najoua Koukous: The Moroccan Kingdom’s commitment to fight impacts of climate change was embodied in the climate summit “COP- 22” in Marrakech

​PAM MP Mrs. Najoua Koukous has exposed the measures made by Morocco and its commitments to fight the impacts of climate change.

​Mrs. Koukous highlighted in her intervention made last Tuesday, March 5 in Abidjan, at the 18th session of the Islamic Cooperation Organization members council union that Morocco’s commitment was actually embodied in the holding of the climate summit “COP-22” in Marrakech in 2016.

​Mrs. Koukous has also reminded of the African parliamentary consultative meeting in Rabat in 2017 about the topic “climate and sustainable development, from agreements to action.. vision of African MPs.”

​MP Mrs. Koukous has shed light on the impacts of climate change at the social and economic levels and on levels of living patterns over the world; in addition to other phenomenon such as poverty, famine, thirst, violence, terrorism, crime, armed conflicts, humans trafficking, emigration, drugs and weapons trafficking.

​Mrs. Koukous has reaffirmed the role played by the Moroccan legislative institution inside the Islamic Cooperation Organization councils union, emphasizing the Moroccan Parliament’s commitment regarding the achievement of those goals.
