Abdellatif Ouahbi incites PAM female militants in the oriental area to advance party’s values of women’s rights
PAM secretary General, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi said that the party believes in the necessity to empower Moroccan women especially in remote areas and make them the pivotal strategic axis amid the new development model, in accordance with His Majesty King Mohammed VI ambitions to build an equal society based on equity values.
Mr. Ouahbi added, in a speech made during the communication meeting of women from the oriental area held last Sunday, June 26, 2022 in Oujda, that the PAM as a secular and democratic party has overcome all obstacles and fully assumes its responsibility towards empowering Moroccan women to play their economic and political roles, which correspond to their social role, highlighting that everybody should commit himself to translate the party’s slogans, literature and authentic values to advance women’s rights and strengthen their integration into public domain and bring them to contribute to the economy and job market.
The PAM Secretary General has stated that the party has succeeded in the oriental area to reinforce its presence and achieved unprecedented electoral results, at the legislative, territorial and regional levels; the fact which has brought the party to enjoy an important position in the area, confirming that the opportunity is available in front of PAM female militants to fully play their role inside the party and assume their responsibility regarding women issues in the oriental and thus serve citizens issues, calling everybody to take part in the construction of a new women organization and their integration in different organizational phases the “regional secretariat is planning to hold in the oriental”.
Mr. Ouahbi has stressed that organizational initial meetings to create a women organization constitute the basic bedrock in the scope of establishing a strong women democratic organization capable of meeting challenges faced by our party as a national political party which enjoys today an important status in the our country’s political landscape and on which citizens are betting strongly to achieve their expectations and large hopes.
Mr. Ouahbi has considered that today’ challenge is to create an active and independent women organization to be an intellectual, political and strong body capable of producing proposals and coming up with programs to be at the availability of the party and an impetus to reinforce women issues at different levels inside the government and the parliament, and in other elected bodies as well.
Our goal is to reassess objectively independent women political and civil experiences, “to elaborate all and with boldness a real women framework to reinforce women’s role inside political landscape and inside political institutions involved in managing public matters”, adding that “We are sure that this outstanding meeting will be rich and fruitful, like similar meetings which were held in Fes-Meknes, Rabat Salé Kenitra, Casablanca Settat, Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima, Marrakech Safi, Souss area, Guelmim Oued Noun, Deraa Tafilalet; and it’s an occasion to express our gratitude for the big efforts undertaken by preparatory committee and by hidden soldiers who have made those meetings successful in different regions of the Kingdom”.
