Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi discussed at the justice commission two bills about the higher council for judiciary power and judges basic statute
Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi attended last Tuesday, December 6, 2022 the public and detailed discussion of the two bills number 13.22 and 14.22 respectively about the higher council for judiciary power and judges basic statute, at the justice, legislation and human rights commission at the House of Representatives.
Minister of Justice has presented to members of the commission amendments included to already amended articles in their current form with explanation and justification for those so amendments, which aim at filling the void and achieve required judiciary efficiency at the justice level in accordance with royal supreme instructions in this field.
The amendments are also aimed at allowing the higher council for judiciary power to have necessary means to carry out its mission, to improve its performance and enhance its efficiency in the assessment training and synthesizing of the judiciary.
The amendments target the reviewing of the process to select judges to be attached or appointed at the Kingdom’s embassies in some countries with which Morocco establishes this kind of development model of the judiciary cooperation; in addition to reviewing ranking of judges in the judiciary corps or amend extension of their retirement age to meet shortage and make benefit of their experiences.
