The national committee in charge of coordinating measures for the fight against human trafficking has recently adopted the national plan to fight and protect against human trafficking for 2023-2030.
Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, presented, in this context, the contents of the national plan to fight and protect from human trafficking during the government council meeting held last Thursday March 23, 2023, as for a 2023-2030 period; as well as the national strategic action plan for 2023-2026 and the national referral of victims of human trafficking, following its adoption unanimously by the national committee in its meeting of last March 17, 2023.
The national committee in charge of coordinating measures to fight human trafficking was created at the government presidency by a bill number 27.14 about fight against human trafficking last August 2016 and whose presidency and permanent secretariat come under the tutorship of the Ministry of Justice in response to the Moroccan Kingdom’s commitments in the field of fight against human trafficking and the necessity to protect and safeguard human rights.
The endorsement of the national referral of victims of human trafficking, in the same way like other leading countries in that field, constitutes one of the most important major projects supportive of the national system to fight human trafficking and protect from it.
This mechanism is aimed at helping victims of human trafficking to be aware of all those measures to orient and assist them to know their needs, within an integrated approach which includes all active players and institutions in partnership with civil society NGOs in this field.
