The House of Representatives adopted by majority the project bill about judiciary experts

The House of Representatives adopted by majority, during a legislative session held last Monday, June 19, 2023, the project bill about judiciary experts; the project bill was adopted by 131 voices and five abstained.

In an introductory statement about the project bill number 44.22, amending and finalizing the bill number 45.00 about judiciary experts, Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has confirmed that this text allows some public institutions to have the qualification of experts, and it also includes some new measures to integrate those institutions into the list of accredited experts to the courts.

The Minister has pointed out that this bill opens to experts from both the private and the public sectors and guarantees a great deal of independence to experts from the public sector to carry out expertise, adding that it will also allow universities with laboratories to register in the list of experts to carry out expertise at the request of the judiciary power and under its supervision.
