Video – Al Abdi: This is how we have integrated in supporting earthquake victims, have adopted resolutions concerning rural areas and helped reducing sectorial disparities
President of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra area council Mr. Rachid Al Abdi has confirmed that the area council has integrated in efforts undertaken by the Kingdom under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s leadership to contribute with MAD 40 million to the special fund created to manage different implications of the latest earthquake which has struck the kingdom; in addition to other contributions made by members of the bureau and by presidents of commissions and teams.
In a statement made last Monday October 2, 2023, on the margin of October session, Mr. Al Abdi considered that those contributions are still insufficient without the contribution of all Moroccans.
Mr. Al Abdi has informed that the area council has proceeded to the adoption of several agreements which concern rural areas and therefore help reducing sectorial disparities, especially areas that are suffering from precariousness.
The area council has also adopted a resolution that concerns school transportation in rural area, as the council will contribute with a grant worth MAD 100 to each pupil, starting from Temara area which includes 5000 boys and girls (pupils) in waiting for generalizing the grant to remaining areas of the province. The session has also adopted funding of tramway network and buying buses that respect environment protection.
