PAM has finally revealed its House of Representatives’ candidacy list for the Casablanca-Settat region. The list included a number of “veterans” as well as several emerging militants.
Upon a meeting held on Monday in Casablanca – attended by PAM Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, alongside members of the National Elections Committee – the party named its candidates for the legislative elections in all 16 districts within the region.
During this meeting, the attendees managed to put an end to the dispute over Hay Hassani district, by nominating their fellow militant and MP, Abdelkader Boudraa, for a seat within the said region, close sources told Hespress.
Meanwhile, the attendees managed to convince Taher Bimzagh to run for a second mandate within Mohammedia district, through their fellow militant and current regional coordinator, Abderrahim Bendaou.
PAM decided to opt for a group of notable and well-known candidates, especially those with a prior representative experience, for the party to “stand its ground” in Morocco’s major cities.
The party shall thereby participate in the upcoming elections via the following names: Ahmed Brija (Sidi Bernoussi), Adil El Bitar (Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammedi), Saïd Naciri (Anfa), and Abderlkader Boudraa (Hay Hassani).
Within the same context, PAM decided to nominate once again Mr. Chafik Abdelhak for a second mandate within Aïn Chock district, in addition to both Mohammed Jbil (Moulay Rachid-Sidi Othmane prefecture) and Mohamed Benjelloun Touimi (Al Fida – Mers Sultan).
At the same time, the party nominated a less-known figure for a seat within Ben M’sik district, namely Mohamed Jedad (Lawyer and fellow member of Casablanca Bar Association).
With regard to the remaining districts, PAM decided to nominate all of Rabie El Moubarki (Ben Slimane district), regional coordinator, Abderrahim Benadou (Nouaceur province), Politburo member, Salaheddine Abou El Ghali (Mediouna province), Head of the Chamber of Agriculture, Abdelfattah Ammar (Sidi Bennour province), Mohamed Mohadab (El Jadida province), Abderrahim El Kamili (Settat and Berrechid districts), and Al Arbi Harami (the city of Settat).
