The president of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH), Amina Bouayach, met, last weekend, with a group of former detainees associated with Al Hoceima’s Hirak protests. Some of these detainees, however, were subject to royal pardon, while others served their sentences in full.
These former Rif detainees requested a meeting with CNDH president in order to discuss “subjects related to their situation after detention, as well as their civic initiatives”.
Moreover, CNDH revealed in a tweet its full commitment to visit several penal establishments, following the request made by former Hirak inmates in this regard.
