Covid-19 – Morocco : Over 4.36 Mln People Fully Vaccinated

In Moroc, the number of people who have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine has reached 5,429,878 to date, announced Friday the ministry of Health, noting that people who have been fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses) number 4,363,261.

This week, the vaccination campaign has bee enlarged to adults aged between 50 and 55, the Ministry of Health announced.

A total of 298 new COVID-19 cases have been reported and 275 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours in Morocco, the source added in its daily briefing.

The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the outbreak of the virus rises to 513,314 while the number of recoveries increases to 500,192 which corresponds to a recovery rate of 97.4%.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths rose to 9,057 with 8 new cases recorded over the past day, i.e. a fatality rate of 1.8%.

The fatalities were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (7) and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (1).

The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (188), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (27), Souss-Massa (21), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (19), Marrakech-Safi (15), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (9), the Oriental (8), Guelmim-Oued Noun (5), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (3), Daraa-Tafilalet (2) and Beni Mellal-Khenifra (1).

The number of active cases stands at 4,065 including 260 in a critical or severe condition, the ministry added.
