Ministry of Urbanization and Housing elaborates a renewed territory policy appropriate with stakes and challenges

Minister of National Territory Rehabilitation Urbanization Housing and City Policy Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri has confirmed that the Ministry has worked on elaborating a renewed territory policy that is appropriate with stakes and challenges levels.

Minister Mansouri has said in her response to an MP question that this policy is aimed at developing different fields to ensure a sustainable territory development and limit sectorial discrepancies, and also guarantee competitiveness and social justice.

The Ministry has made tremendous efforts by adopting 34 rehabilitation layouts in big cities: 5 in 2021; 15 in 2022, and 14 in 2023.

Minister Mansouri has disclosed the necessity to reexamine legal texts in the field of urbanization and make them appropriate with the progress being made in the field, stressing that the Ministry is working right now on preparing a specific bill about urbanization documents to control procedures of time schedule, studies and adoption for the sake of facilitating the adoption procedures relying on decentralization.
