A total of 310 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and 276 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday, stressing that the number of people who received the first dose of anti-Covid vaccines reached 8,011,014. There are 4,947,483 fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses), the ministry said in its daily report on the Covid-19 situation. The new cases of infection bring to 517,423 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in March 2020 in the Kingdom, while the number of people who have recovered rose to 505,668, a recovery rate of 97.7%. To date, the total number of deaths is 9,129, following the recording of 3 new cases, that is a case fatality rate of 1.8%. These deaths were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Marrakech-Safi and Souss-Massa. The new cases were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (225), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (29), Marrakech-Safi (12), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (11), Darâa-Tafilalet (11), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (5), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (4), the eastern region (4), Souss-Massa (3), Fez-Meknès (3), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2) and Guelmim–Oued Noun (1). Active cases are 2,626, while severe or critical cases have reached 173, including 5 under intubation and 88 under non-invasive ventilation.
