Minister Leila Benali takes part alongside with the Government President in the 26th session of COP 26
Mrs. Leila Benali, Minister of Energetic Transition and Sustainable Development, is taking part, alongside with Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, the Government President, in the 26thworks session of the U.N. Conference of the Parties known as COP 26, hosted by Glasgow, Scotland between 1 through 12 of November 2021.
The Moroccan delegation, presided by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, is made up of Mohamed Seddiki, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forestry and Mrs. Leila Benali, Minister of Energetic Transition and Sustainable Development.
Minister Leila Benali has confirmed, in a meeting organized by Mohammed VI Institution for the Environment Protection, in partnership with the General Union of Morocco’s Enterprises (UGEM) and the U.K Embassy in Morocco, represented of the COP 26 Presidency, that Morocco is represented at the COP 26 by an important delegation, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, pointing out that the Moroccan delegation will be strongly present at the conference with the goal of highlighting the Moroccan model in the field of energetic and environment transition, pursuing the promotion of Moroccan initiatives being taken since the Marrakech COP 22, and attracting new foreign investments.
The COP 26 will constitute an opportunity to expose ambitious policies and strategies engaged successfully by Morocco, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to implement the foundations for sustainable development, encourage energetic transition, support clean technologies, and enhance the Kingdom active contribution to world efforts in this field in accordance with the Kingdom world commitments.
