Minister of Economic Integration, Small Enterprises, Labor and Skills, Mr. Youness Sekkouri has stated that 80 thousands of personal entrepreneurs have declared about their situation during October and November only, and that 30 thousands have paid their taxes.
The Minister has added during a Parliamentarian oral session at the House “that the number of personal entrepreneurs in Morocco has reached 320 thousands and that the number of declared entrepreneurs during the last government mandate was between 15% and 20%”.
Minister Sekkouri has clarified that “the first thing the current government has done is that it has announced health and social care cover for personal entrepreneurs and the outcome was that 80 thousands of them have made their tax declaration during last October and November, and 30 thousands have paid their taxes”.
The Minister has outlined that this is the beginning of a fundamental reform brought by the government, pointing out that the government is envisaging the amendment of the law number 114.13 which concerns personal entrepreneurs to increase the ceiling of transaction number of this category.
