Minister of Justice: Digging up in individuals’ privacy is a “crime” and tougher penalties should be issued for violation of private life
Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has stated that publication of children’s photos on social media network represents a big problem, and absolute freedom on the Internet is a kind of “absurdity”.
Minister Ouahbi considered, in his intervention during the oral question session held on Monday, May 30, 2022, that digging up in the privacy of individuals whether children, women or men, is a “crime”, referring that some countries have established five years sentence to anyone who has dig up in individuals privacy, that’s why you don’t find anyone writing on any person in those countries.
The Minister has stressed that “freedom of expression is something but consciousness is something else, considering that publication of individuals’ privacy on social media network should become a case of flagrancy and therefore be punished according to criminal code; not only the publication of children’s photos but also digging up in marital life and private life of persons.
