PAM leadership praised His Majesty‘s warning for increases of basic food prices and his feelings of their impact on citizens’ purchasing power
In reaction to His Majesty King Mohammed VI speech to the Moroccan people on the occasion of the twenty third anniversary of his access to the throne, PAM Politburo has expressed its great pride towards His Majesty’s keen interest and follow up of different hard economic and social conditions faced by large Moroccan communities, especially poor and vulnerable social classes, as a result of the Covid-19 crisis repercussions and of international economic fluctuations and impacts on national living conditions; and his strong expectations for handling and alleviating the crisis impact on communities of more vulnerability.
PAM leadership has praised, in its communiqué issued on Monday August 1, 2022, His Majesty’s warning for the increase of basic foodstuff prices and his feelings of their impacts on the purchasing power of many Moroccan citizens, and his royal preemptive initiative to alleviate the social crisis severity through allocating support to rural areas communities suffering from a severe drought, and his royal supreme instructions to the government to subsidy some of those basic foodstuff.
As a solution to social crisis in the context of current circumstances, His Majesty has drawn two important roads: First is to reinforce national solidarity and second is to stand up against speculations and prices manipulation.
PAM Politburo has also praised His Majesty’s wisdom to incite foreign investments as among efficient solutions to help create jobs opportunities, and His Majesty’s confirmation on the necessity to respect two essential principles: First is to make easier procedures to incite foreign investments and second is to stand up against intentional obstructions due to personal benefits and interests.
