“The government won’t succeed unless it honors citizens’ rights and supports them in time of crisis”, this is how PAM Secretary General, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has chosen to highlight the government keen strive to support/subsidy Moroccan citizens’ purchasing power in front of the fluctuations of international market prices, in an address to PAM regional conference attendees in the area of Fez – Meknes held last Saturday morning, November 19, 2022 in Fez.
Mr. Ouahbi has talked about initiatives taken by the government to protect citizens’ purchasing power saying “we are convinced that we are following the right track; and making necessary reforms takes some time, and we have to resist and continue our efforts so that the country progresses in a better way”.
PAM Secretary General has stressed with a firm language: “We could not accept one side or a body or an activity which does not pay taxes.. this is a national responsibility and everybody should pay taxes”, clarifying in this context of national responsibility by saying “It’s no longer acceptable that rents should be in Morocco or rights without obligations, all Moroccans are making social action, adding “No one could practice political bickering on another one, we want a modern society, individuals sacrificing for each other.”
