Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Mrs. Ghita Mezzour, presided last Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her Department office in Rabat over the signing ceremony of a MoU about an investment project in off-shoring.
The MoU, signed with “Thales” group, is aimed at investing more than MAD 350 million in the cybersecurity, through the creation of a “Near-shoring” center to serve “Thales” customers at the international level, the fact which will create about 150 direct jobs opportunities of added value.
This MoU has come in harmony with the Moroccan Kingdom willingness to upgrade investments dynamism, in accordance with His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s supreme vision expressed in his royal speech on the occasion of the opening fall session of Parliament last October underlining that our county is betting today on productive investments as a fundamental leverage for economic recovery and achieve Morocco’s integration in promising sectors susceptible to create jobs opportunities and funding for different social and development programs.
Minister Mezzour, in her statement on the occasion, has confirmed that this off-shoring center is part of several major projects launched by Morocco, and precisely by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform over this year to make of the Moroccan Kingdom one of the most competitive countries in the regions in terms of off-shoring services.
According to Minister Mezzour, the signing of this MoU will help create 146 direct jobs opportunities of added value in cybersecurity to be added to other investments so that the total of jobs opportunities in the Moroccan Kingdom in this sector reached since November 2021 more than 15.800 direct jobs with a overall investment amount estimated at MAD 1.10 billion.
