Abdellatif Ouahbi: Nothing dissuades me from carrying out my mission as Minister of Justice and I will pursue required reforms as there are some burning files that should be dealt with seriousness and responsibility (Penal code bill as a model)

Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi said that he is assuming his big responsibility which requires the implementation of commitments at the level of the state credibility and its bodies, adding “I have not submitted any exemption/or resignation from my mission as a Minister of Justice, I am still holding my position and still the Secretary General of the PAM.”

This has come as a response to what was circulated in some social media sites, pretending that Mr. Ouahbi has requested to be exempted from his mission in relation with the results being announced by the Justice Ministry about the bar profession exam.

Minister Ouahbi, who was the guest last Sunday evening, January 8, 2023 to 2M show “With Ramadani” said: “that small storm will not dissuade him from carrying out his mission as Minister of Justice, but still there are some other burning files we should focus on with seriousness and responsibility, especially some important legal arsenal expected to be brought to existence saying: “A Minister should assume his responsibility for reforming his sector, including judiciary reform and other regulations.”

There are other hot issues to be debated such as (recidivism, punishments duration; death sentence and penal code bill) to become legal texts and executable rules in the best possible conditions. The government official has confirmed that he is working hard on those issues on the ground of his convictions, open-mindedness and in harmony with PAM background.
