Niamey: Morocco’s participation in the youth ministerial meeting of the Saharan Sahel area

Morocco, which is represented by Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, participated last Friday, February 10, 2023 in the works of the Ministers of youth meeting of the Saharan – Sahel states.

Minister Bensaid, on behalf of the Moroccan Kingdom, has underlined on this occasion that the youth is a driving force which owns general skills for economic and social development; and helps allow countries to achieve sustainable global growth; especially if this force could benefit from a qualitative education and engage itself in citizens’ initiatives, as indicated a communiqué from the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication.

Minister Bensaid has noted that under illuminating conduct by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and His higher instructions, Morocco launched a number of initiatives and important projects for the behalf of young Moroccans, aiming their integration into society and therefore making them a genuine force of proposition in public administration and partnerships.

The government official has underlined that the Moroccan Kingdom is working on a new approach linked to the youth, and which consists of launching a new generation of youth centers with innovating programs, adding that Morocco is ready to share its experiences with brotherly countries and friends from the Saharan Sahel area.

Minister Bensaid has also reaffirmed that Morocco is ready to welcome young people from the Saharan Sahel area during 2024 which will be marked by the celebration of the Youth Year.

Morocco, said Minister Bensaid, will pursue its engagement in the building of the Sahara Sahel area, with all member states, to strengthen strong relationships based on cooperation, solidarity and constructive partnerships.
