Minister of Justice has called in a high-level meeting on Arab peoples to think collectively about the future and handling of human rights topic with more boldness

Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has called Arab countries participating in the 51st ordinary session of the human rights permanent Arab committee, for dealing with human rights issue with more boldness and courage.

Minister Ouahbi confirmed in an opening allocation made before the 51st session held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the conference hall in Skhirate, that Arab peoples have reached today a great deal of maturity and so human rights issue especially women and child’s rights should be subject of more attention, pointing out that Arab peoples have suffered over the last few years of many problems and have started to recover and therefore should receive more support and positive thinking about the future.

Minister of Justice has stated “Today, either we give the correct info to the world, or the West would be the source of that info and that is based on a lot of interest, that’s why, we are the ones who should be the source of info and become stronger.”

Minister Ouahbi added that “2011 has given us a big lesson to reconstruct our peoples, and I believe that new questions and issues are being raised today for Arab countries, first mixed marriages which have become more widespread and Arab youth who have become to study all over Arab countries.”

In the same context, Minister Ouahbi has made a presentation before the participants in this session about the Moroccan Kingdom experience in the field of human and initiatives made in this regard, such as preparation of a training institute for Arab youth in human rights, stressing the necessity for exchange of experiences among Arab countries in this field.

Minister Ouahbi has said in conclusion that “today, the Arab world needs each other more than any time before and we no longer need the West which is living in a crisis that will continue for 30 years ; and I have a strong feeling that the 21st century will be an Arab one by excellence at the economic level.”
