Al Abdi discussed with the UK Ambassador means to strengthen friendship and cooperation relationships
President of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra area council, Mr. Rachid Al Abdi has received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Morocco, Mr. Simon Martin, who is making a courtesy visit to the area council headquarters.
Over the meeting, both sides have praised bilateral relationships linking the Moroccan Kingdom and the United Kingdom; and have discussed investments opportunities offered by the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra area to British businessmen, highlighting possibilities for administrative facilities for investors at the level of the area.
On this occasion, Mr. Abdi has stressed the necessity for communication and openness to all partners including consulates and ambassadors accredited in Morocco; an also the role played by the area in complementarity with Regional Investments Centers /CRI and the Wilaya of the area as active players coordinating their efforts to attract foreign investments to the area, pointing out to opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the area and the UK Embassy.
In this context, President of the area council Mr. Al Abdi has proposed the holding of direct meeting between Moroccan businessmen from the area and their British counterparts to discuss investment climate and exchange ideas and data.
Mr. Al Abdi has also talked about industrial zone of Ain Jawhara with 200 H surface, 800 H of which was rehabilitated with an envelope of about MAD 250 million and which offers great opportunities for investors in the area.
The British Ambassador, from his side, has pointed out that the meeting is aimed at exploring scopes of investments for British companies, confirming that there are many opportunities to reinforce cooperation and partnerships between both countries.
