Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi: We haven’t decided yet over the age of lawyers’ profession and the bar association is the one which has proposed 35 years
Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has disclosed that age ceiling at 35 years for lawyer’s profession has been proposed by the bar association; while the Justice Ministry has proposed 45 years, however no decision has been made yet about that issue.
Minister Ouahbi has expressed his own astonishment during the oral question session held last Monday April 17, saying “I don’t understand how the 35 age limit was leaked as if we had already decided over the issue; whereas no decision has been made yet about 35 or 45 years.”
The Minister has reiterated that the Ministry of Justice has proposed in a project bill to limit the age to access lawyers’ profession at 45 years maximum, while bar associations have proposed 35 years.
