Ministry of Justice disclosed a number of procedures to stop the phenomenon of false testimonies at the Kingdom’s courts
Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, has disclosed a number of measures and procedures taken by the Ministry of Justice to stop the phenomenon of false testimonies at the Kingdom’s courts.
Minister Ouahbi has stated in response to a written question by PPS team, that the Justice Ministry has developed a new profession special with managing injunction issues (saj.2); the fact which will allow courts to control false testimonies regarding various issues, making clear that this mechanism provides research possibility by using national ID card or using the person’s first and second names; and also on different files, reports and complaints, which the witnesses may have been involved in previously.
Minister Ouahbi has pointed out that this mechanism will also assist to apprehend those persons who practice false testimony and therefore restrain this phenomenon; saying that the Ministry of Justice has taken other procedures by setting up CCTV at different courts of the Kingdom to follow up persons who practice false testimony as a profession.
