House of the Councilors.. Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi presents at the Justice commission project bills about judiciary experts and the Higher Judiciary Institute
Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi presented last Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the justice legislation and human rights commission members at the House of Councilors two project bills about changing and completing bill number 45.00 concerning judiciary experts and bill number 37.22 about the higher judiciary institute.
In his introductory statement, Minister of Justice has confirmed that the presentation of those two project bill has come in the process of broad and deep reform of the justice apparatus led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI with full wisdom and vision.
Minister Ouahbi has reaffirmed to members of the justice commission that judiciary expertise is important as a reliable means of justice due to the complexity and wide range of cases submitted to justice, highlighting that after twenty years of the bill entering in force, it were necessary to think about assessing the bill and discuss it in the context of technology progress which has largely contributed to technical means necessary for expertise.
Regarding the project bill number 37.22 about the Higher Judiciary Institute, Minister Ouahbi has made clear that the new bill text will complete the legal system to help support the judiciary power and will review the legal status of the Higher Judiciary Institute to make it convenient with new developments resulted in institutional independence of the judiciary power. The new project bill will also help the institute to have its financial autonomy and will define its mission in training judicial attachés, justice staff interested in judicial corps.
Amendments to the new project bill will help offer legal and judiciary training for both national and international public and private institutions sectors, sign partnership and cooperation agreements, and manage common programs in training and research.
