In the aftermath of the painful earthquake which struck many areas in our country last Friday, the Ministry of Justice presents its sincere condolences to the victims’ families and wishes prompt recovery for the injured, men and women; and out of the Justice Ministry eagerness to implement supreme royal instructions that have come in the Royal Palace communiqué, the Ministry has taken a series of measures pertaining to its competencies to help contribute to efforts deployed by government authorities and different players through the following points:
- To create a central committee and regional sub-committees to manage this crisis at the level of the Ministry intervention
- To lower flags at half mast
- To ensure the continuation of public services offered to escorts and resumption of different services, and setting up an efficient plan to ensure the continuation of services in areas struck by the quake in coordination with Higher Judiciary Council and Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office
- Not to miss the opportunity for candidates to set lawyers’ oral exams scheduled on September 12 through 17, 2023
- Putting camping compounds pertaining to judges and admin. staff of the Justice Ministry at the availability of the earthquake-stricken persons in Marrakech and Agadir
- To coordinate actions with the Ministry of Health services in terms of justice staff blood donation from all the Kingdom’s courts
Finally, we highly appreciate the initiatives for sympathy and solidarity expressed by different associations and services of the Justice Ministry.
