Ministry of Justice agrees with representatives of judicial professional bodies to provide all kinds of legal support to earthquake victims
The Ministry of Justice has taken the initiative to hold a coordination meeting with representatives of judicial assistants professional bodies, including notaries, Ouduls, scribers, accredited translators at the courts and judicial commissioners, to discuss aspects of possible legal support which could be provided to victims of the tragic earthquake that has struck our country.
The meeting has come in response to royal supreme instructions to face the earthquake implications which has caused many victims and has greatly damaged infrastructure, houses and properties; and also out of respect to values of solidarity well-established in the Moroccan society and out of efforts to integrate in the government rescue efforts.
The meeting attendees have agreed on the necessity to provide all kinds of services that come under the competency of the above-mentioned bodies and to volunteer for the behalf of the earthquake-stricken victims; and this consists of writing contracts, taking administrative measures to register contracts, certificates of land conservation and all legal documents and their translation.
The meeting attendees have emphasized the importance to facilitate communication with foreign rescue teams through providing simultaneous translation, reporting damages being recorded and following up all procedures related to judicial aspects.
The meeting has reaffirmed the serious and responsible integration of those bodies to alleviate the suffering of local communities in stricken areas and the necessity to spread positive spirit of solidarity in response to His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s instructions to provide all kinds of support and assistance to the earthquake victims.
