Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has recently presided over the second national convention for justice social assistants held under the topic “institutionalizing of social assistants at Moroccan courts and scopes of developing services for children, women and special categories.”
In a statement on the margin of the convention works of this second session, organized by the Ministry of Justice in partnership with UNFC last Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023 at Technopolis, Minister of Justice has confirmed that social assistants’ mission is important inside courts since it carries out the task of humanizing judiciary procedures and facilitate services offered to citizens.
The Minister has stressed the necessity to open the floor in front of those staff to play their roles as social assistants and not as simple employees at the Justice Ministry.
This second convention has come as a follow up to the first national convention hosted in Marrakech in 2016 on the topic “the role of social assistants in achieving a better protection to children in dealing with law”, in the context of the Ministry vision to advance women and child condition and help them have easy access to justice.
This national convention will be an appropriate opportunity to make use and benefit from international experiences related to social assistance in the field of justice with the participation of many international experts from Arab, European, Asian and U.S. countries.
