Young Moroccan girl brought back to Morocco after she was living with her detained mother in an Iraqi prison
The Ministerial commissioner in charge of human rights has informed that a Moroccan young girl was brought back to Morocco on Monday morning October 9, 2023, after she was living with her detained mother in one of the Iraqi prisons.
The ministerial commissioner has reported in its communiqué that “the human initiative to bring the Moroccan young girl back to Morocco outside an Iraqi jail, has come as a response to her family desire, her mother’s approval and out of consideration for allowing her to be brought up in safe environment and appropriate living conditions”, adding that she was accompanied by her aunt and a social assistant.”
The ministerial commissioner has pointed out that Moroccan authorities have taken all necessary measures to ensure the young girl’s best interest by assisting her psychologically, socially and educationally, to help her integrate her new educational milieu.
