Ouahbi: The world is living a moral crisis towards what is occurring in Gaza Strip and Morocco has taken a strong position with Palestinians
Minister of Justice – PAM Secretary General Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi considered last Sunday, October 29, 2023, that the world is living a moral crisis in dealing with events taking place in Gaza Strip.
Mr. Ouahbi’s reaction came in response to on-going events in Gaza Strip and the continuation of war being waged by Israel since current October 7, amid Medi-1 TV channel program “Guest of the Week”.
Mr. Ouahbi stated that “International law, international human law, war law and the four Geneva conventions and other laws, cannot be violated while the world is keeping silent.”
Mr. Ouahbi has highlighted that Morocco has taken a very strong position with Palestinians due what is occurring in Gaza, and that the government has expressed a clear-cut position about that, in addition to humanitarian mission ordered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to send different kinds of assistance and support to Palestinians; stressing that Moroccan presence is firm and the world is absent.
Minister Ouahbi has concluded that the bigger crime today is not what is occurring in Gaza in itself, but the world’s silence and reticence of war crimes and violations of international law; this is the bigger crime because this paves the way for the world to move from a legally-organized world to a world of chaos.
