Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi eulogized the deceased Chaouki Benyoub as a courageous jurist human rights militant
With emotional words and sadness, Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahi eulogized deceased Ahmed Chaouki Benyoub as a courageous jurist and human rights militant, during a memorial service held for the defunct last Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the National Library in Rabat.
Minister Ouahbi, in eulogized emotional words, said that defunct Chaouki Benyoub was among the most outstanding jurists in Morocco, who have left behind their impact in our country’s national jurist history.
Late Chaouki Benyaoub was the ministerial commissioner in charge of human rights and an outstanding jurist and a fierce human rights advocator. Defunct Chaouki has many contributions in the field of jurisdiction and human rights and has been very active at different jurist institutions and bodies including the Reconciliation and Equity Authority, the Moroccan Organization for Human rights and a counselor at the National Observatory for Children’s Rights and other regional and international human rights bodies.
In a conclusion statement Minister Ouahbi said: “My friend Benyoub, human rights issue will remain a topic of conflict as long as humanity lasts, so lie in rest because you have fulfilled your role in very honest manner and it is our role to pursue the track”.
