أبو ظبي .. النائب العوني يحضر أشغال المؤتمر البرلماني لمنظمة التجارة العالمية للعام 2024

حضر النائب البرلماني عبد الفتاح العوني ضمن وفد عن مجلس النواب؛ أشغال المؤتمر البرلماني لمنظمة التجارة العالمية لسنة 2024 المنعقد في إطار المؤتمر الوزاري الـثالث عشر لمنظمة التجارة العالمية (MC13)، بمركز أبو ظبي الوطني للمعارض يوم 25 فبراير 2024.

وتمحورت أشغال هذا المؤتمر حول سبل تشكيل وتعزيز نظام تجاري متعدد الأطراف يخدم الجميع، وعلاقة التجارة بالتغيرات المناخية وكذا التجارة الرقمية في عصر الاقتصادات المرنة.

ويتيح المؤتمر الفرصة للبرلمانيين المتخصصين في التجارة الدولية والمالية والتنمية الاقتصادية تتبع التقدم المحرز في قرارات المؤتمرات الوزارية، والتفاعل مع المفاوضين الحكوميين ومسؤولي منظمة التجارة العالمية، وتبادل الآراء والخبرات مع مشرعين من برلمانات أخرى وتحديد سبل العمل البرلماني على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي.

وتعقد دورات المؤتمر البرلماني سنويا في إطار المؤتمرات الوزارية لمنظمة التجارة العالمية.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن المؤتمر البرلماني لمنظمة التجارة العالمية الذي أنشئ سنة 2002 بمبادرة مشتركة بين الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي والبرلمان الأوروبي، هو آلية للرقابة البرلمانية على منظمة التجارة العالمية ويهدف إلى إضفاء بعد برلماني على هذه الهيئة الحكومية الدولية مما يساعد على تعزيز الشفافية والمساءلة في النظام التجاري العالمي.
