The President of the Boujdour Regional Council, Mr. Ahmed Khayyar, accompanied by representatives of local authorities and other stakeholders, presided over the launch of a project to build a fish market, funded by the Boujdour Regional Council in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development in the region.
The project will be completed over a period of three months at a cost of 1,743,720 dirhams and will include 37 retail outlets selling fish on credit, as well as shops selling olives and spices. It is intended to serve as a commercial and economic hub in the city of Boujdour and will meet the needs of the city’s residents by providing access to fish products offered under optimal conditions—in terms of price, quality, availability, and food safety.
Earlier, Khayar inaugurated the new headquarters of the Boujdour Regional Council, a major urban development project that joins a number of other achievements by the Regional Council. These initiatives are part of an effort to promote the concept of good governance and improve the quality of public facilities in accordance with advanced engineering standards. This new landmark also features several accessibility features, as well as various facilities and administrative offices equipped with the latest tools and work mechanisms designed to enhance the administrative services provided to citizens residing in the city and the region.
