Iman Lamawi, a member of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, submitted a petition to the Minister of the Interior calling for an urgent solution for the residents of the Ouarzazate region whose homes have been severely damaged by recent rain and snowfall.
Lamaoui described the worsening situation facing many families in the Ouarzazate region following the recent rain and snowfall, which caused severe damage to a number of homes and dwellings in the region, especially since most of the structures are built of mud and roofed with reeds and earth, meaning they now pose a real threat to the safety of their occupants.
Lamaoui emphasized that this situation is exacerbating, unfortunately, the suffering of a large segment of the region’s population, which is already struggling with harsh climatic conditions and living conditions; she considered this to require immediate and urgent intervention by the relevant authorities to assist families whose homes have been severely damaged by these rains, most of which have become uninhabitable.
In this regard, Lamoui urged the minister to work toward finding an urgent solution for the residents of the Ouarzazate region whose homes have been severely damaged by the recent rain and snowfall, and to coordinate efforts to enable them to benefit from the national program for the restoration of buildings at risk of collapse.
