Said Atglast, a member of the Authenticity and Modernity Group in the House of Representatives, noted that the summer season in our country sees unusually heavy traffic, particularly on Morocco’s highways, coinciding with the summer vacation and the return of Moroccans living abroad to their homeland.
In a written response, Atglast explained that this initiative requires a comprehensive mobilization effort by the National Motorway Company, by providing safety and comfort for highway users through the creation of rest areas, which is part of a comprehensive development program recently launched by the National Motorway Company of Morocco as part of its new service mission, in which the comfort of highway users is a top priority.
In addition, the member of parliament questioned the government about the quality standards of the network of service stations along the country’s highways, calling for the provision of safety and comfort for highway users.
