On August 7, 2018, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) delegation in the House of Representatives lost one of its esteemed members, the late Hajj Miloud Aït Hamou, following a terminal illness that proved untreatable.
The loss was devastating, and it deeply affected everyone, given the late player’s gentle nature, kind demeanor, seriousness, and dedication, ever since he joined the team after finishing as the runner-up to Moulay Hicham El Mahajri on the Authenticity and Modernity Party’s list in the Chichaoua constituency during the October 2016 elections.
The deceased was not a man of many words, but what little he said was full of wisdom and advice, and reflected his commitment to cooperation, solidarity, and unity among the members of the parliamentary delegation—all in the interest of the party, and above all, in the interest of the nation.
On Thursday in Rabat, in a fitting tribute organized by members of the Asil Party, and before delving into any item on the agenda of the meeting between the party’s two parliamentary groups and the Secretary-General, everyone insisted on reciting the Fatiha in memory of Hajj Miloud Ait Hamou, as a gesture of loyalty and in honor of all the noble human qualities that distinguished the deceased.
Hajj Hamou has departed for the eternal abode, in accordance with God’s will and decree. His positive presence and gentle smile will remain a fond memory in the minds of those who were his companions—in the parliamentary group and within the party as a whole—just as his love will remain in the hearts of the people of his hometown in the Shishawa region, whose people are so kind. We belong to God, and to Him we shall return.
