Chaired by Mr. Abdellatif El Ghalbzouri, Regional Secretary of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) for the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, and Mr. Mohamed El Arabi El Mrabet, Provincial Secretary of the party for the M'diq-Fnideq province, along with Deputy Regional Secretary Mr. El Arabi El Maharchi and Regional Secretariat member Mr. Mounir Limouri, (chaired) on the evening of Wednesday, February 21, in M'diq, a meeting with local secretariats and the presidents of municipal councils in M'diq-Fnideq.
This meeting, organized under the theme “Prospects for Development in the Fnideq Strait,” comes amid the momentum the party is experiencing in the wake of its Fifth National Congress held in Bouznika.

In his remarks on the occasion, Mr. Al-Ghalbzouri spoke of the success of the party conference, both in terms of its activities and organization, as well as its outcomes regarding the organizational structure, which resulted in the emergence of a collective leadership composed of party members.
In the same vein, Al-Ghalbzouri added: “The positive outcomes of the conference require us, at the regional and local levels, to create a new dynamic based on strengthening party organizations, supporting the capabilities of women and youth, and engaging with citizens to meet their development aspirations.”
For his part, Mr. Al-Mrabet expressed his great pride in the success of the conference and the decisions that emerged from it, foremost among which was the election of a collective leadership for the General Secretariat. The speaker emphasized that the M'diq meeting serves as a platform for communication among party officials at the national, regional, and local levels, with the aim of evaluating the party’s performance in elected councils, particularly as the current term is nearing its halfway point. The meeting also serves as an opportunity to showcase achievements, address challenges with a view to finding solutions, and develop a joint roadmap for action in the coming period.

Mr. Al-Maharashi spoke about the importance of this meeting, which follows the national conference that brought forth a leadership composed of young people and women—a development that sent a strong signal to those active in the political arena, “This places a great responsibility on all of us to live up to the expectations of our citizens; and I urge officials in the M’diq-Fnideq communities to agree on a comprehensive and structured proposal with a local touch and submit it to the regional council to advocate for its implementation.”
Following that, the floor was opened for remarks by the presidents of the Employment Council, Mr. Ahmed Halhal; the Council of the Belionch Community, Mr. Mostafa Al-Sha’iri Al-Kamel; and the Council of the Al-Alyin Community, Mr. Mohamed Al-Maliki Al-Halaybi; the President of the Group of Municipalities, Mr. Abdelaziz Chentouf; the Chair of the Party’s delegation to the Regional Council, Ms. Saida Adkoug; and the Advisor to the Regional Council, Mr. Mohamed Aarab; to engage in the discussion with the remarks of party officials in the province and the region.
Everyone expressed their satisfaction with the plans and achievements of the Regional Council of M'diq-Fnideq; they also expressed their full readiness to actively engage in any efforts that serve the interests of the local population.

Remarks by the local secretaries—Mr. Mohamed Al-Nazir of Martil, Mr. Ahmed Ashranan of Al-Madiq, Mr. Mohamed Al-Yasini of Al-Fnideq, and Mr. Omar Al-Batiwi of Al-Alyin—expressed the local secretariats’ support for all elected officials in their work within the councils, emphasizing that the PAM, following the National Congress, will witness a new wave of activity that will solidify the party’s standing within society.
The party, through its local offices, will also monitor the work of local councils; it will communicate all achievements to citizens while conveying residents’ demands to party officials so that they may be addressed by the relevant authorities.
