Mr. Ahmed El-Touizi, head of the Authenticity and Modernity Group in the House of Representatives, affirmed that Morocco is considered a pioneer in the field of renewable energy. Particularly in the context of COP 22, held under the high patronage of His Majesty the King, Morocco has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing renewable energy and integrating it into its sustainable development strategy.
In an additional comment addressed to the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development during the oral question session held today, Monday, June 23, Al-Touizi emphasized that Morocco aims to generate 52% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, noting that the goals set by His Majesty the King to reach this percentage will only be achieved through incentives, participation, and concrete action.
