The Moroccan Association of Presidents of Provincial and Regional Councils Discusses Key Issues at Its Regular Meeting

The Executive Committee of the Moroccan Association of Presidents of Provincial and Regional Councils held a meeting, attended both in person and remotely, in the meeting room at the Association’s headquarters, with members of the Executive Committee and Association officials in attendance.

The agenda included the following items:

1. News items.

2. Report on the training session organized by the Association for the general directors of departments of the provincial and regional councils on December 4 and 5, 2024, in Rabat.

3. Report on the symposium organized by the Association on the topic “The Solidarity Economy and the Challenges of Social Development,” held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Tangier.

4. Report on the mission to Romania organized between February 22 and 27, 2025.

5. A delegation from the Association of Romanian Communities visited Morocco.

6. Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education, and Sports and the Association.

7. President Abdelaziz Darwish’s participation in the 48th session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, to be held from March 25 to 27, 2025, in Strasbourg.

8. The Association’s sponsorship of Ms. Karima Al-Sadri as the first young Moroccan delegate to the Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.

9. An invitation to the President of the Assembly to join the delegation representing the Conference of Local and Regional Authorities tasked with observing the elections in Finland.

10. Preparations for the Association’s regular general meeting in late April 2025 in the city of Safi.

11. Proposing topics for the study day held in conjunction with the general assembly.

12. The French delegation’s visit to Morocco, scheduled as part of the third phase of the partnership program with the French Association of Tawiza, has been postponed to allow certain French regional presidents to attend. A new date will be proposed by the Association of Tawiza.
