Yesterday, Monday, May 24, Dr. Mohamed Bouda, President of the Al Hoceima Municipal Council, accompanied by some of his deputies and council members, received His Excellency Sylvain Berger, the French Consul General in Tangier.
During this meeting, which took place as part of Berger’s visit to Al Hoceima, the parties discussed various possibilities for establishing a direct flight connecting Al Hoceima with the French capital, Paris, or the city of Marseille. This would help encourage French tourists to visit Al Hoceima and, conversely, Moroccan tourists to travel to France.
On the same occasion, the French Consul General, in a speech delivered for the event, reaffirmed France’s firm stance in support of the proposal for autonomy in the Moroccan Sahara, and also highlighted the strength and excellence of Moroccan-French relations across multiple areas. He also expressed his strong support for the idea of establishing a direct flight route between Al Hoceima and French cities.
On the same occasion, the French diplomat expressed his determination to continue working to strengthen economic and cultural ties between Al Hoceima and France by creating and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
